We reached this property after a beautiful five-hour drive from Vizag to Koraput and were greeted by heavy rain and lush greenery. As we passed the huge gate surrounded by towering trees and thick bushes, we instantly felt we have arrived at something special. The property is rustic and perfectly in sync with nature, truly spellbinding. The hosts, Mr. Sushant Panda and his son, were wonderful and made our stay memorable. The property has a lovely cafe nestled amidst their 100-acre coffee plantation, where they serve coffee made from their own homegrown beans, it was absolutely delicious. Meals were another highlight. Dinner was authentic, home-cooked Odia food, and breakfast was just as tasty. We were also given a guided walkthrough of the plantation, dotted with beautiful flowers, while Mr. Panda’s son patiently explained the coffee-making process in detail. Yeah been there for a quick detour but that detour was too amazing. Never ever imagined that Odisha would have a place where coffee is grown just amazing place.

The owner Sri Susanto Panda is an avid photographer who loves capturing the birds in his coffee plantations and also the deep sky object during the night. He has catalogued over 150 species of birds visiting his firm. He has also photographed(and still does) comets, galaxies, nebulas etc.

A must visit place in Koraput. You find a kind of ecosystem with plants like silver oak ,jackfruit,coffee ,black pepper, tree coffee, vanilla and varieties of decorative plants here and in addition to that you’ll get to drink coffee made by them. Filter coffee is really refreshing with great aroma.

When an Indian friend brought me this coffee from Odisha, my expectations were not high. Living in California, most of my coffee comes from Columbia or Jamaica. I had never heard of coffee from India. Frankly, I was skeptical. So when I made my first cup (using a Keurig machine) I was completely blown away. This coffee is probably the most delicious I have ever tasted. It is smooth and rich, with low acidity. It has the mouth feel of hot chocolate (I use milk and sugar) and a mild, pleasant aftertaste that lingers and begs a second cup. I have never been so eager to get out of bed in the morning! Congratulations to Dream Hill for beating out all the big guys and making such a splendid brew. One day I hope to visit India and see how they do it.
